Giving local economies a boost

Bringing new technology to kids in the jungles of Costa Rica.

The challenge is not to bring stuff, director John Bolen told his students, but to make it work, to teach people to use new technology is to transform a society.

The Project was simple, students from the jungles wanted to join the globe, to conect and to share the marvelous enviromment they live in.

Kids from Canada raised money, to buy equipment for this school in Costa Rica, they brogught lap tops, cameras, one projector, with this things the school in La Virgen del Socorro will be at one clic with the rest of the world, with this equipment they can teach their parents how to use internet and grow family ties, with this equipment they can monitor the wealth of their Tropical Rain Forest.

Costa Rican kids took the Canadians for a hike in the jungle, told them stories about animals, about the rain and the sun, they shared lunch, prepared by the ladies from the comunity.

The idea is to help by promoting teaching, transfering of technology and knowledge,we dedicate time to make projects in the comunities where we have operations.
