3 Day Sailing Expeditions

We have team up with Kinetos Sailing Adventures, to create unique journeys that combine fun, active exploration and learning.

• This is an expedition for the whole family, great for couples, families and groups of friends.
• Most of our expeditions are limited to small groups.
• All of our trips are led by local guides who offer an insider perspective and a personal connection to the people, cultures and eco systems we will encounter.
• Imagine yourself silently sailing, enjoying a glass of wine, watching the great sunsets of the Pacific, watching the starts at night, completely away from the busy world.



Try the comfort of the Islander Freeport 41

• It has enough room to take 15 passengers for one day, 9 for overnight expeditions.
• Built to perform long distance cruises (Blue Water) this Boat is ready to circumnavigate the globe.
• The Sail Boat is at the Yacht Club in Puntarenas, only 2 hour from San Josι.
• The Gulf of Nicoya, dotted with many tropical Islands, most of them Biological reserves offers the chance to explore the islands. 
• These expeditions are far from the regular trips for the amount of free time given into each trip, to pamper your spontaneous side and let you choose from the many activities that might attract you.
• Sea Kayak with certified Instructors.
• Hiking into the many trails on the Islands.
• Snorkeling on empty beaches, only us, the reef and the Ocean

• San Lucas Island, a former prison now a biological reserve, with a visit to the old prison 
• Tortuga Islands, two twin Islands and miles of pristine beaches
• Curϊ, the first Wild Life Refuge in Costa Rica (1950s) 

What is included

• The price is $990 per person for an all-inclusive 3 day Sailing Expedition. 
• Includes:
• Breakfast lunch and dinner each day of the trip, during the activities we will provide fruits and snacks, all transportation needed, drivers, bilingual guides, all the gear needed for each adventure, professional guides with certification for each adventure, all entrance fees to national parks and private reserves, sleeping on the Sail Boat each night, shuttles from San Jose to Puntarenas and back.

What to bring for water activities

Swimming suit

• Shorts
• T-Shirt
• Tennis shoes, Teva sandals or Aqua shoes, (not flip - flop)
• Windbreaker (or any synthetic fabric T-Shirt)
• Sun block 15 factor or superior


After activities:

• Full set of clothes for changing
• Towel
• Plastic bag for wet clothes
• Cash for souvenirs, pictures and T-Shirts

For the trip:

• Same listed above, plus.
• Flash light, Insect Repellent
• Pants, Long sleeves shirt 
• Camera, Binoculars
• Personal care products 
• Medicines if needed. If this is the case, please inform our office staff 

On hikes, for the day

• A backpack with: Towel, extra pair of socks, light change of clothes, basic first aid(Band aids, ibuprofen, if you take medicines don’t forget to bring them) plenty bottled water, sun protection, mosquito repellent,  an extra pair of shoes like strap shoes for water activities, a pair of shorts, sun glasses, power bars (granola, etc.).
